I wanted to put some useful tips on how to read a pedigree, for anyone
that has not ever read one, or is new to reading them.
All items in RED indicate
a champion title. The OFA status is also in red on my site. The way you read an OFA status is as follows:

CH- Champion title
IRONWOODS GREMLIN - NAME OF DOG
08-19-1986 - DOB
BLK MHGY - COLOR OF DOG - IE: BLACK & MAHOGANY
OFA25E- AS FOLLOWS:
OFA - Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
25 - The age of animal in months at time of certification
E - The rating. It will be F- Fair, G- Good or E- Excellent
CERF - Canine Eye Registry Foundation, means that the eyes were examined and registered to be free
of defects.
WF928926 - Registration number
Reading Pedigrees - Commonly Used Abbreviations
GV - Grand Victor
ROM - Register of Merit
CH - Champion
FC - Field Champion
HCH - Herding Champion
HX - Herding Excellent
OTCH - Obedience Trial Champion
TD - Tracking Dog
TDX - Tracking Dog Excellent
UD - Utility Dog
CD - Companion Dog
CDX - Companion Dog Excellent
Sch I - Schutzhund Level One
Sch II - Schutzhund Level Two
Sch III - Schutzhund Level Three
SG - Very Good (German Term)
V - Excellent (German Term)
FH - Advanced Tracking (German Term)
BH - Companion Dog (German Term)
RF - Rescue Dog (German Term)
Example: LR-100E24M-PI

LR = Breed Code, in this case a Labrador Retriever

100 = Ascending numerical identifier given to each animal within a breed evaluated as normal and given
a number, in this case the 100th Labrador to be given a number

E = The phenotypic OFA evaluation, in this case E = Excellent, other normal phenotypes include G (Good)
and F (Fair).

24 = The age in months when the testing was done, in this case 24 months

M = Sex, in this case a male

PI = Indicates that the animal has been permanently identified in the form of tattoo or microchip. If
the animals lacks permanent identification, a suffix of NOPI is applied
